Much More Info: PLEASE READ!

CANCELLATIONS-

While we understand sometimes 'things just happen', please please, if you need to cancel your reservation, do it as soon as you can.    This gives us an opportunity to refill those empty time slots.

LARGE GROUPS-

We will require a 100$ deposit for groups that require two or more sleighs.  (Groups over 12 adults). Group leaders- please arrange for a single source of payment to FTF.   Once your reservation is scheduled, it can be very  difficult to make time changes within the date you reserved.   Please plan accordingly and give us 5 to 7 days advance notice if you desire time changes.

REASONS FOR CANCELLATION BY FTF:

  • Conditions are not safe for horses- (high winds,  lightening, icy trails are examples).
  • Windchills  that take the "Feels Like" temperature into severely negative numbers-severe blizzard conditions.
  • Illness/injury of teamsters, horses or assistants.

What to Expect- What to Bring:

  1. Customer parking is immediately on the right when you turn in the driveway.
  2. We accept payment (cash, check, charge) at the end of the ride. (Beginning 1/1/2023- there will be a 3% fee for CC processing).
  3. Consider the season we're currently in and dress appropriately.
  4. You are welcome to arrive as early as you need to prepare yourself and your family for your ride.
  5. Sleigh rides are 45 to 55 minutes long.  We have gently rolling trails that wind through our 90 acres of woods. Hot coca will be provided in a warming shed for your group at the end of your sleigh ride.  Sometimes we have a campfire going.
  6. Please bring your own lap blankets (or umbrella/rain gear for other seasons.
  7. We do not have indoor heated restrooms, we have an outdoor Jon, please make a plan to suit your needs.
  8. Sunscreen and insect repellent for spring, summer and fall.
  9. Check a local weather app, for temperature and wind variables.  Wind can make a warm day quite chilly.   Zip code 49616.              Try-https://www.9and10news.com/weather/

  • Communicate any issues with your driver immediately.
  • No food or beverages allowed. Hot cocoa kits are provided after the ride.
  • Please no leaning or hanging over the sides of the vehicle.
  • Feel free to take pictures during the ride FROM inside the wagon or sleigh.  Family photos with the horses can be taken at the end of the ride. (We can assist with this).

Horse Etiquette

Please approach our horses calmly and speak to them as you walk up.  Their blinders limit their visibility to the side and behind, but their hearing is excellent.  Hold out your hand and let them smell you.  Please be respectful of their very sensitive noses. Start with scratching under jawlines, under manes, on the shoulders or the chest area.  Keep your toes away from their toes (hooves).  After some initial scratches, they may then let you stroke their muzzle.  If they move their head away from your hand, they are saying they're not wanting their muzzle touched today.   The horse's muzzle, while very soft and irresistible, is also very sensitive and quite ticklish.  Thank you for your consideration.

Winter Conditions Update!

Welcome!!  Update: 3/18/2023 - Our trails have lost most of their snow, but winter keeps harassing us.  If we get more,  we will do sleigh rides into the month of March if there’s interest  and enough snow. The best thing to do is call and check to see where we're at with sleigh/wagon rides.  Please continue browsing our site and check our blog for more information or our Facebook for updates!
